Pilates is a physical exercise program named after Joseph Pilates, who invented it in the early twentieth century.

Pilates termed his technique "Contrology." It is performed all around the world, particularly in Western countries.

Pilates is a low-impact exercise method that combines deep breathing and moderate stretching to improve strength, balance, and mobility. Workouts target your "powerhouse" muscles (abdomen, lower back, pelvic floor, hips, and glutes), but you'll also work on other areas.


Pilates exercises are frequently recommended to relieve muscle tension, joint stiffness, and back pain, as well as to help prevent injury.

The moves are simple to learn and modify, regardless of age or ability. For a better burn, increase your pace, add light dumbbells, or deepen your stretches.
